| Design Description: |
This is the BOXED
3D version of the Whimsical
Starfish Invitation,
as many people have been inquiring about what this
invite would look like if it used a real starfish
and was mailed in an invitation box. The starfish
is left loose in the box, but once the lid is added,
there should be minimal shifting given the height
and size of the real starfish.
The invite
itself is a 2006 Pele Award of Merit Winner Letterpress
Wedding Invitation
is a sure show-stopper and new favorite. Both
the starfish
design and
text are letterpress printed on a textured natural
white paper. The shimmer copper backing nicely
accentuates
the faded brown of the starfish motif and the
darker brown text color.
[View 3] showcases the two layered version (hand
assembled by Melissa) and is the way majority
of clients order the invitation. The Whimsical
Starfish invitation may also be ordered as a
single, one layered invite].
The invitation is assembled with the enclosures
tucked beneath. All are placed inside a Brown
Kraft box, on an walnut-colored layer of tissue
paper. The tissue paper
is then folded over (much the
way you would gift box wrap a clothing article)
- see [VIEW 2]. The lid is added and the box secured
closed with waxed cord and a tag. Inside the tag,
you
write
the name(s) of your guest(s) - see [VIEW 4].
The tag acts as an inner envelope, where you write
the
name
of
the people invited. This is especially helpful
when inviting (or not inviting) the children
of guests. The Brown Kraft box is then placed
inside a padded envelope for mailing. |

Due to the 3D nature of this
design, it is mailed in a white 2 piece box (lid
and bottom). The box is then placed inside a padded
envelope for mailing. The 3D starfish is too fragile
to mail in an envelope, and so the white box is used
- both for presentation and to prevent damage to
the starfish. |

Processing times can be and often are shorter than what is stated above, but shorter times cannot be guaranteed. Kindly plan in advance, as the PEAK ordering time is January through June. NOTE: RUSH orders are not possible at this time. |

invitation design is always possible and welcome.
By adding your own flare you help create an original
work of art your guests will not only talk about,
but keep as mementoes. Customization includes paper
color, font color, actual fonts used, cord color,
starfish color, different design layout etc. |

LIGHTEN YOUR "WORK" WITH
MINIMAL ASSEMBLY
If you’d like Melissa to assemble everything
into each invitation box and then ship to you for final
assembly and mailing, there will be an extra fee of
$1.00 per invite. You will need to add the guest tag
+ cord on the outside of the box, place it inside the
padded envelope, add postage & mailing label. Mail
at YOUR local Post Office.
NOTE: RSVP postage is
NOT included in the $1.00.

Melissa can also completely assemble and mail the invites
to your guests directly from her local US Post Office.
To assemble and mail to each guest the fee is $2.25
per invite, as Melissa can completely assemble about
10 invites an hour, so approximately 6 minutes per
invite. She will send you the guest tags for personalization
prior to her mailing the invites to your guests.
NOTE: RSVP and invite
mailing postage are NOT included in the
$2.25.
