The Grapevine Motif Letterpress Invitation was a custom creation for a client with a vineyard/winery wedding in Michigan in 2006. She wanted something different and did not want an actual grape design used, and so the grapevine + grape leaf motif was created for her using an actual wine cork and then a thick cork backing layer as accent pieces.

The invitation is assembled with the enclosures tucked beneath the invite [between the invite and cork layers]. The assembled invite is then placed inside an oatmeal colored box, on an walnut layer of tissue paper. The tissue paper is then folded over (much the way you would gift box wrap a clothing article). The lid is added and the box secured closed with waxed cord and a Guest Tag. Inside the tag, you write the name(s) of your guest(s) - see [VIEW 6]. The tag acts as an inner envelope, where you write the name of the people invited. This is especially helpful when inviting (or not inviting) the children of guests. The oatmeal box [View 7] is then placed inside a padded envelope for mailing.
